For quite some time, I've been attempting to transition from Rose of Sharon to something more relatable and personal. Rose of Sharon began as a simple Instagram name and blossomed into a ministry I never imagined I could establish. Earlier this year, I prayed about making a change because I felt the time was right. Initially, I believed it would be the new name for the women's ministry, but as I started developing this website, I realized it would first become the new name for my blog.
What does it mean to be a daddy's girl?
I realize that I have always naturally been a daddy's girl. Unfortunately, I have grown up with a father wound that has been a hindrance to me walking in the fullness of being a daddy's girl, not just with my earthly father but with my heavenly Father.
A daddy's girl is one who naturally looks to dad for answers, whose heart is connected to his heart, and who both honors and adores her father. Not that mom isn't important, but when it comes down to it, it's all about dad. There is power in knowing who your daddy is. Being fathered by God changes everything. We see ourselves differently, and we show up differently. A daddy's girl is spoiled and loved well. She goes after the best and knows she is protected.
The Question
My question to you is: who would you be if you knew who your daddy was? How would life look for you if you understood that you were truly his and he wanted the best for you?
The Call
My challenge for you is to respond to the call of him beckoning you closer. The call to be cared for, loved, and wanted. His love for you is beyond anything you could ever imagine. Give yourself an opportunity to experience the fullness of it.
Signed,
A Daddy's Girl
